The world record event was set to occur just three weeks after the idea was conceived. TEAM BACON (about 25 of Willer’s closest friends) worked together to plan the event, creating a custom-built 12 foot long smoker to house and cook a veritable cornucopia of baconness. On November 26 2011, the bar was raised when Team Bacon created a 120 lb Hog Log setting the world record for Largest Hog Log Ever.
The feat caught the attention of local media resulting in an article in the Riverfront Times, two radio interviews, and several live morning segments on
St. Louis Fox 2 News.
